Arrival in Chioggia — the authentic southern counterpart of Venice. A living working town where fishing culture, canals, markets and maritime traditions remain part of everyday life.

A walk along Chioggia's most iconic canal, lined with fishing boats and historic façades. A visit to Mercato Ittico reveals how the morning catch still sets the rhythm of the city.

Traditional seafood at a beloved local table.

Afternoon

Check-in & Circolo Nautico Chioggia

Check-in at Domus Clugiae, then on to the nautical heart of the city. Discover Chioggia's long sailing tradition, explore the marina and watch a regatta — the competitive spirit that still defines its bond with the sea.

Hidden Lagoon Landscapes

A private excursion into the hidden southern lagoon, navigating secondary canals inaccessible to mass tourism. Barene salt marshes, bird habitats, and a fragile balance between nature and human hand. The day closes with a scenic golden-hour cruise and a traditional aperitivo onboard.

Entering Valle Millecampi

One of the most important traditional fishing valleys of the lagoon — managed waters historically used for fish farming and resource stewardship.

Casone Millecampi

An evocative lagoon house once used by fishermen and guardians. A window onto the historic valli da pesca, traditional architecture, and centuries of sustainable practice.

Back in Chioggia

Return to Chioggia aboard the same boat used for the tour in time for lunch. Lunch is not included — pick a spot that catches your eye in town.

A scenic golden-hour cruise with Mariavè Boat Experience — peaceful navigation through Chioggia's waters with a traditional aperitivo onboard, framed by sunset reflections and quiet canals.

A Day Inside the Casone

Departure by private boat toward Cason Zennaro — a traditional casone deep in the lagoon. The day belongs to silence, water, and slow rituals.

Breakfast at Domus Clugiae, then departure to meet Pescaturismo Kociss 2 for the journey toward the casone.

A scenic crossing

Quiet channels open onto the casone. Fishing demonstrations, lessons on lagoon shelters and historic lifestyles, observation of tides and wildlife.

Cooked at the casone

Local ingredients and freshly caught fish — a true taste of lagoon cuisine.

Afternoon

Music, fishing & return

Music and hands-on fishing activities at the casone, soaking in the slow rhythm of the lagoon. Then comeback to Chioggia aboard the Pescaturismo Kociss 2.

The Edge of the Lagoon

A long narrow strip of land where fishing culture, colored houses and a timeless atmosphere create a world apart. Where lagoon waters meet the Adriatic.

Morning

Breakfast, check-out & crossing to Pellestrina

Breakfast at Domus Clugiae, then check-out before departing for Pellestrina by vaporetto. On arrival, a wander through the village — boats, nets, painted façades, and a coffee in a local bar.

Lunch

Da Celeste

One of Chioggia's most appreciated seafood tables.

Afternoon / Evening

Murazzi & Oasi Ca' Roman

A walk along the monumental sea walls leads to a protected reserve — sand dunes, pine forest, birdlife, untouched coastal landscapes. Then comeback to Chioggia by vaporetto.
